Does anyone really know the power of our thoughts?
If we all really knew the power of our thoughts, we would all be highly successful individuals.
But, obviously we don’t, so I’m going to explain the truth about ideas to you guys.
Before we start, let’s define the word idea.
According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, the word idea means a suggestion, thought, or plan.
So, in other words, it’s a thought that we can take action upon.
Think about all these big companies:
Those were all ideas put into action!
Even we are ideas – of God!
Just look at everything around you, from the smartphone you got in your hand to the clothes you got on your back – right now!
Without ideas, we would all be living in a cave still living like we’re in prehistoric times.
The better part is…
That we all have ideas.
But, the main difference between successful ideas, and just regular ideas are:
- The ideas are immediately put into action
- It requires a little more thought
Let’s summarize the first point…
The ideas are immediately put into action
Many people are afraid to take action on their ideas because they’re afraid about what the others may think.
Let’s face it, people are going to think certain things about people, and that’s because of what they think about themselves.
So, when you’re scared to release an idea to the public, and you’re afraid what others might think – realize it’s more about them not you.
Okay, we got through the first part, but the question is:
How do I take the action necessary?
The real answer to that is to just start. You will get better as time goes on anyway. Of course, you will need to know the information, but you don’t need to paralyze yourself with endless amounts of information you find.
Matter of fact, that’s something I used to struggle with.
When I first started my journey, I wanted to know how to get there.
And I would look up countless amounts of junk about it…
Whether if it was on Youtube or a blog article, I would just consume large amounts of information on a regular basis.
Until, I realized that you can know all the things in the world, but if you don’t apply it to anything in life, that information would be useless.
As the great Napoleon Hill says:
“Knowledge is only potential power. It becomes power only when, and if, it is organized into definite plans of action, and directed to a definite end.”
Even if you have no idea what you’re doing, at least you are taking that first step into making that idea into reality.
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”
The second point…
It will require more thought
To be honest, successful ideas had some effort put into it.
I mean, you can have just a great idea that has little to no thought on it, but you will probably be discouraged because of the lack of thought planning you had.
The greatest ideas were thought with creativity and vivid imagination.
America was an idea thought of by people who just want to live in a place where they won’t be judged for being different from everyone else.
It didn’t just pop up in someone’s head, it came with lots of imagination and a plan to execute it.
So if you want constant ideas of gold, you would have to put some effort into your thinking.
I’m in the mood for…
Write an idea a day.
Oh, I’m sorry. I mean write as many ideas as you can a day for a week.
I got this from James Altucher, who is a content master.
This is due when you submit it in the comments below…
Don’t forget: I am ALWAYS watching you! 😉
Ideas are currency. Not the job you have, or which country you live in.
If you have ideas, and are willing to put effort into making them a reality, then good job man, my work is done!
Steve Jobs imagined a phone on which you can touchscreen and get on the internet for things.
People thought he was crazy…
But, that didn’t interfere with what he envisioned.
And in 2007, the first iPhone was released to the public.
And now, there are millions of smartphones – maybe even billions!
All thanks to the imagination of Steve Jobs. (R.I.P)
Before we go, I will leave you with a quote on ideas that will make you think:
“Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.”
Which one are you?
Don’t just stand there, do SOMETHING about it!
