How much action do you take on goals you want to achieve?
If you’re reading this, then you probably don’t take much action.
But, it’s okay because that’s what I’m here for.
“Do you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.”
I used to be one of those people.
I used to think that there would be a perfect time to talk to that person, or start that new habit I always wanted to start.
But, realize that there is no such thing as a “perfect time”.
You see, our mind is very powerful.
Our mind still has that survival mindset, which is when we act like we’re still running from dinosaurs.
But, isn’t that the complete opposite of what we want?
Don’t we want to confront our fears and try new things?
I don’t know about you, but I want to constantly strive and be the greatest version of myself I can possibly be.
And our minds are scared because when we try new things or take a bold step, there could be a risk.
And the mind hates risks.
But, without risks, you would most likely be an average Joe.
Living in an average house, with an average family, and an average job.
That’s what this blog is not about.
This blog is for people who are willing to do what it takes to succeed.
So, are you in?
Anyway, the secret to take action is…
To Just Start.
The thing is that we tend to overcomplicate things and make excuses.
Some popular excuses I might sometimes hear are:
- Not enough time – If you really didn’t, then nobody else wouldn’t have time either because we have the same number of hours each day – 24.
- I might fail – So what? If you keep going, you’ll learn from them.
- How do I start? – You just start, that’s how you start.
- It’s too hard – Everything is hard in life, and who said it was going to be easy?
Right now is the perfect time to throw those excuses outside the window.
Because you don’t need them, and it will just prevent you from actually doing the task you initially wanted to do.
Another thing that can prevent us is to just wait.
Why the heck do you have to wait in order to get something done?
Is it because you still think there is a perfect time, even though I mentioned there is no such thing as a perfect time?
The more you wait, the more excuses you’ll make because you’ll still think it’s not that time…
“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.”
Besides, constantly taking action is one of the biggest causes of your confidence.
Confident people never hesitate, even if they know it’s wrong, they still go out with boldness.
Think of something you always wanted to learn, and try it.
There is no due date for this, it’s just for you to grow.
Leave comments on which activity each of you wanted to try, and tell me how it went.
Until, next time…
Just realize that if you just sit around and do nothing, you will recieve nothing.
You can think as much as you want, but if you don’t start taking initiative…
What’s the point?
“Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all.”
-Norman Vincent Peale
So, what are you going to do now?
