How To Come Up With Great Ideas.

A light bulb.

” Ideas are like rabbits. You get a couple and learn how to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen.”

-John Steinbeck

How many great ideas have you ever thought of?

If you’re reading this, it’s probably not a lot, but it’s okay because I’m going to show you how to have more powerful ideas.

By the way, everyone has awful ideas.

It’s how you perceive them.

I might have a breakthrough idea that might seem like complete crap to some people.

Or, I might have an awful idea that seems very attractive to millions of people.

Great ideas can change the world, here are ways on how to come up with GREAT ideas:

1. Always Write Them Down.

” Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”

-Benjamin Franklin

Make it a habit to write down a certain number of ideas a day.

Remember they don’t have to make sense, so don’t think if it’s an excellent idea or an awful one, just write it!

When you write more and more ideas, you will realize that some are not as bad as you thought they would be.

So, get started on it NOW!

2. Be In Different Environments

” Variety’s the very spice of life, That gives it all its flavor.”

-William Cowper

I do this sometimes when I keep thinking the same ideas over and over.

Our brains constantly change, and when we’re in a new environment, we’re going to notice many different things.

So, go to a park, a closet, or even a school to think and write down those great ideas that come to mind.

3. Try Different Things

” What’s the purpose of being human and alive without doing new things? “

-John Sulston

When you try new things, you will be more open-minded.

The great ideas are the ones that have been combined with other ideas that have already been executed.

I have an activity for you:

Write down the things that you always wanted to do on a piece of paper and imagine yourself doing it.

The visualization part is important because the mind cannot tell the difference between vivid imagination and real life.

After you wrote them down, make a plan to try those things out.

For example, if you always wanted to do stand-up comedy, write a list of jokes and schedule yourself to perform at an open-mic event.

The device you are on right now is the result of an idea, can you believe that?

It came from someone bold enough to use their imagination to create something extraordinary.

And now, it’s your time to create something great.

” Creativity is putting your imagination to work, and it’s produced the most extraordinary results in human culture.”

-Ken Robinson

Always remember that YOU are AWESOME!!!
